GTS Distribution was formed in 2005 as a result of a merger of two wholesale sportscards & gaming distribution companies: Talkin’ Sports and Gamus Distribution.
Founded by Lloyd Kee, San Jose Sportscards Distributor opened its doors to the sports & entertainment trade in 1987 and changed its name to Talkin’ Sports in 1995 as a result of a merger with Talkin’ Baseball Distribution in 1995. At the time of the merger with Gamus Distribution in 2005, Talkin Sports had five locations strategically located service major metropolitan cities and no more than a 2-day ship from 90% of its customers on the West Coast, servicing over 3,000 active customers in 14 Western states.
What began in 1976 as a family owned business primarily distributing Trading Cards, Hobby Supplies and Sheet Music. Georgia Music Incorporated, dba Gamus Distribution, quickly grew into three facilities across the Southeastern U.S. With a strong focus on providing superior customer service and excellent product selection, Gamus Distribution’s reputation and business was built the old fashioned way – by earning it. After his lengthy tenure with Fleer Trading Cards, Steve Snyder joined Gamus Distribution in 1999 and became sole owner in 2002.
Collectively understanding the vast needs of the sportscard retail stores, the merger came as a result of a unified goal to help retail store owners focus more on growing their businesses and less on sourcing products. It is GTS Distribution’s unspoken mission to provide retail stores with a vast, cutting-edge product selection, competitive pricing and the best customer service available. With this goal in mind, GTS Distribution offers its customers the diversity of 4 major categories; Trading Cards, Games, Toys and Hobby Supplies. Our knowledgeable staff of over 48, has more than 350 years of combined experience in these areas and are constantly looking for products and services to add to our portfolio of offerings.
