Mike Fruitman is the owner of Mike’s Stadium Sportscards in Aurora, Colorado.  His start into the hobby began while attending a children's show at the age of 8.  After the show, each child received a gift bag which included a pack of cards.  He pulled a Pete Rose card from his pack and was hooked.  Over the next eight years he spent every penny of his allowance on packs and boxes of trading cards.  During high school he took a small break from his collection, but his love for the hobby did not lay dormant for long.

While attending the University of Colorado, he visited a card store and found many of the cards he had pulled from packs when he was younger were selling for $50 or more.  Soon after graduating, he started working at a card store near his house and within 6 months, he bought the store.  It was very challenging taking over a large store, but he appreciated these challenges and made the most of them.  For the last fifteen years he has operated the shop and claims he has not regretted a single moment as no two days are ever the same.  This family business is truly a success story.
